The 4948-S delivers wirespeed throughput with latency minimizing for certain applications. It includes 48 x 10/100/1000 Ports, Layer 2-4, 1-rack-unit fixed-configuration switch for rack-optimized server switching and hot-swap module replacement. The customer is able to decipher certain queues as higher importance, in comparison to others, so that you can enlarge the network and still benefit from the high speeds provided from the WS-C4948-S.
