• 33MP Exmor R CMOS Sensor: Inherited directly from the popular a7 IV, this back-illuminated full-frame sensor delivers incredible resolution, fantastic low-light performance (up to ISO 51200), and a massive 15 stops of dynamic range.

• AI-Powered Autofocus: Sony didn't just give the a7C II good autofocus; they gave it their absolute best. A dedicated AI processing unit powers Real-time Recognition AF, allowing the camera to instantly identify and tenaciously track humans (by pose, not just eyes), animals, birds, insects, cars, and airplanes.

• 7-Stop In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS): The completely redesigned 5-axis IBIS system offers up to 7 stops of shake correction. This is a game-changer for shooting handheld video or capturing sharp stills at very slow shutter speeds without a tripod.

• Professional Video Specs: Despite its size, it’s a serious cinema tool. It shoots 4K up to 30p (oversampled from 7K for incredible sharpness) using the full width of the sensor, and 4K up to 60p in Super35 (crop) mode. Crucially, it records in 10-bit 4:2:2 color internally, giving colorists massive flexibility in post-production using S-Log3 or S-Cinetone.

• Improved Ergonomics: Sony listened to feedback from the original a7C. The Mark II adds a front command dial for easier exposure adjustments, a deeper grip for better handling with larger lenses, and a vastly improved touchscreen interface.

To achieve this incredibly compact size, Sony had to make a few compromises compared to the larger a7 IV. The most notable is the single SD card slot, but it does support fast UHS-II cards.  Finally, to keep the body slim, the camera utilizes a micro-HDMI port rather than a robust full-size HDMI port for external monitors.
