With a recycling time of just 0.01 to 2.1 seconds (up to 13% faster than the older B10X Plus), you can confidently shoot in fast-paced environments like fashion runways or live sports without worrying about dropped frames or missed flashes.

• Upgraded Bi-Color LED: Hybrid shooters will love this upgrade. The built-in 40W continuous LED is 50% brighter than previous models, putting out a massive 5,000 lumens (1,700 lux bare bulb). Because it is fully bi-color (2800–7000K) with a high CRI of 94+, it serves as a highly capable continuous video light that perfectly matches your ambient environment.

• Three Intelligent Flash Modes: You have total control over how the strobe performs. Use Eco Mode to extend battery life and reduce thermal load on long shoot days, Boost Mode when you need maximum raw power, or Freeze Mode to achieve incredibly short flash durations (up to 1/21,100s at t0.5) to completely eliminate motion blur.

• Built for Real-World Abuse: The exterior features a new rugged, rubberized surface that gives you a secure grip and durability for mounting heavy modifiers. It also introduces user-replaceable flash tubes, meaning if a bulb breaks on set, you can swap it out instantly without sending it in for service. And by popular demand, a dedicated 3.5mm sync port has returned for wired triggering.

• AirX Connectivity: With built-in Bluetooth AirX, you can trigger the flash perfectly from your smartphone camera or control all your settings visually through the Profoto Control app.

Because the B30 belongs to the battery-powered OCF (Off-Camera Flash) family, its flat glass front is specifically designed to safely accept Profoto's lightweight OCF modifiers. While the new rubberized grip handles heavy modifiers better than previous generations, you should still take care when balancing large, heavy traditional softboxes on lightweight location stands.

Additionally, this strobe relies entirely on its proprietary rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It cannot be powered directly via AC wall power if the battery is completely removed. If you frequently shoot high-volume, all-day sessions, it is highly recommended to purchase an extra battery to swap out while your depleted one is charging.
