Configuration of the host PC is not necessary since the driver automatically registers the card. 

Connection to the CAN bus is available at a 9-pin D-Sub connector with a pin assignment corresponding to the CiA standard recommendation DS 102-1. The PCAN-PCI Express package includes device drivers for Windows Windows® 10, 8, 7 (32/64bit), the PCAN-Basic API, and the PCAN-View CAN monitor software. Linux drivers are also available.

Note: The 4-channel version IPEH-003040 is no longer available, customers are encouraged to migrate to the CAN FD compliant PCAN-PCI Express product version
