Overview

NSComm Giant 663 is a high-density 40G/100G Ethernet Network Packet Broker (NPB) built for data centers, carriers, and large-scale enterprise networks that require real-time traffic acquisition, intelligent distribution, and zero-loss packet visibility for security and performance monitoring.

Providing 32 × 40G/100G Ethernet QSFP+/QSFP28 ports, Giant 663 allows each interface to be flexibly configured as either an input or output port, supporting both standard transceiver modes and single-fiber data reception for versatile deployment across tapped links, SPAN aggregation, or inline traffic steering architectures.

Giant 663 delivers powerful traffic selection and multi-channel monitoring capabilities, supporting tagging, aggregation, filtering, traffic replication, and load-balanced distribution-making it particularly suitable for high-throughput networks with complex monitoring requirements and high port density.

Designed for full-scale visibility, it provides full-duplex line-speed traffic processing with zero packet loss even at full line rate, enabling reliable data feeds to IDS/IPS, SIEM, NPMD, APM, signaling analyzers, and protocol analysis platforms.

With advanced packet classification based on input port, five-tuple, and characteristic fields, Giant 663 enables precise traffic steering and efficient tool utilization, ensuring only relevant traffic reaches each monitoring system. It also supports tunnel protocols such as GTP and GRE, with steering based on inner-layer IP addresses for modern overlay and telecom network environments.

Built for scalable operations, Giant 663 supports multiple monitoring architectures including multi-interface unified convergence, one-to-many replication, uplink/downlink separation, and load-balanced source-destination split output, and supports multi-device cascading and collaborative management for large deployments.
