The NSComm 400G PAM4 QSFP-DD to QSFP-DD Direct Attach Copper Cable (DAC) is a cost-effective, ultra-low latency solution for 400 Gigabit Ethernet short-reach interconnects in hyperscale data centers and high-performance computing clusters. Built with twinax copper cable and a durable PVC jacket, it delivers 400 Gbps of bandwidth across 8×50 Gbps PAM4 lanes, making it ideal for top-of-rack (ToR) and middle-of-row (MoR) deployments.
The passive DAC supports lengths up to 3 m (10 ft) with negligible power draw, while active DACs extend reach up to 5 m (16 ft) at ≤ 4 W per end. This design ensures excellent EMI immunity, consistent latency, and significant cost savings compared to optical transceivers.
