They are not nitrogen-purged, meaning they cannot be safely submerged in water, and the internal lenses may temporarily fog up if you move rapidly from a heavily air-conditioned room into a hot, humid outdoor environment.

Finally, individuals who wear thick eyeglasses should be aware of the 14mm eye relief. While an improvement over more highly magnified compacts, you may still need to fold down the rubber eyecups and press the binoculars relatively close to your eyeglass lenses to see the entire, un-vignetted 293-foot field of view.
