Part-Number Cross-Reference: Is MMA1B00-C100D the Right Module?
Short answer: MMA1B00-C100D is NVIDIA/Mellanox's 100GbE (Ethernet) QSFP28 SR4 module, with an MPO-12 connector and up to 100m on OM4 or 70m on OM3. If your link runs InfiniBand EDR, you want MMA1B00-E100 instead. NVIDIA's own spec notes that the Ethernet C100D version is generally not supported in InfiniBand applications.

Common mistakes: using MPO-12/APC trunks built for NDR optics (this module needs MPO-12 UPC, see APC vs UPC), and paying for optics on runs under 3m, where a 100G DAC or 100G AOC is cheaper.
