Does the JL678A support PoE?
No. The 6100 24G 4SFP+ is a non-PoE model. If you need Class 4 PoE on 24 ports, the JL677A (6100 24G Class4 PoE 4SFP+ 370W) is the equivalent PoE switch.
Is the Aruba 6100 24G switch fanless?
Yes. The JL678A is passively cooled with no fans at all, rated 0 Bel sound power, so it can be deployed in offices, classrooms, and other noise-sensitive spaces.
Does this switch need a license or subscription?
No. All switch features are included — there is no software licensing or subscription to buy. HPE Aruba Networking Central management is optional and licensed separately if you want cloud management.
Are SFP+ transceivers included?
No. The four SFP+ uplink ports ship empty. Compatible 1G and 10G transceivers and DAC cables are ordered separately.
