The Cisco 1811 Ethernet Security Router is part of the Cisco family which provides the broadest line of solutions for transporting data, voice and video while ensuring that networks both public and private operate with maximum performance, security, and flexibility. Special features include firewall protection, hardware encryption, VPN support, load balancing, VLAN support, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and URL filtering. It supports 802.11a, 802.11b and 801.11g, wireless LAN protocols, all at the same time, using top of the line firewall protection with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and IP Security (IPSec) VPNs with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) or Triple Data Encryption Standard (3TES). This router functions as a managed, eight port 10/100 switch with a PoE option and VLAN support providing high speed access for Ethernet or broadband connectivity via two 10/100Base-T ports and backup for WAN with an analog (V.92) modem.
