Frequently Asked Questions

What does CTO mean for the PowerEdge R720?

CTO (Configure-to-Order) means the server chassis is sold without processors, memory, or storage — these components must be added separately to build a complete server.

What processors are compatible with the R720?

The PowerEdge R720 supports Intel Xeon E5-2600 and E5-2600 v2 series processors in LGA2011 socket.

What is Dell iDRAC7?

iDRAC7 (Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller) provides out-of-band remote management — enabling power control, console access, hardware monitoring, and firmware updates without OS access.
